Wonderful Generous Friends

I know many of you were recently opening presents from under your Christmas tree.
Well a few days after Christmas I received a lovely box from New Jersey.
And here it is:

This was a wonderful donation.
As with any box there were so many wonderful surprises...
fabrics, trims, decorative roses, and elastic!!
But the biggest surprise was a bag of small Teddy Bear shapes ready for
sewing into Teddy Bears to put in the pockets of little girls dresses.

Won't they be adorable!!!

Thank you so much Ellen and Hilary for your giving hearts and generous donation!!

Wonderful Friends

This Christmas season wonderful
friends have donated to the Dress
A Girl Project.  I have known
Therese White for years.  This fall she was cleaning out her cupboards and decided to donate a large bag of wonderful fabrics!!  Some are perfect for dresses and others are perfect for scarves for the girls in the Appalachian Mountains region.
Then on Christmas Eve I received a box from Clothworks, a local fabric company.  It included beautiful fabrics just perfect for creating
some incredible dresses for the girls!!!  They are so bright and include
some delicious designs!!
Thank you to both for their generous donations!!

And we have a new lady joining us for sewing group!!

Thank You

On Saturday we had a donation of fabrics from the Good Neighbor Association here in Woodinville!!  There were cottons just perfect for dresses and flannels that will make PJ's for children in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky.  We so appreciate your generosity!!  After the holidays we hope to start one or two new sewing groups here on the Eastside of Seattle.  If you are interested in sewing or donating to the cause just send me a message at
