Fat Quarters

A fat quarter is a piece of fabric cut about 22" wide and 18" long.  Quilters use these quite often.  When 3 bins were donated recently filled with fat squares I decided to play a little.  So I started with the dress in the last post.  Today I made three dresses using only fat squares.  The first dress uses five different materials...

Now I know that this next dress looks like the backgrounds of the fabrics are blue but they are actually mostly black.  I used four fat squares to make this dress...

The last dress that I made today used five different fat squares all in the teal family...

I had so much fun creating dresses today.  Now I need to go and wash more of this donated fabric.  I have this idea of a contest making dresses out of fat squares only... Hmmm, I am thinking about his!!!
