Mexico

I am always sew excited as I see the Lord working... miracles do happen!!  I have lots of dresses ready to go out and two days ago I met an amazing lady that needs dresses!!  Kathy has been going to Mexico for years.  She always goes when they are celebrating The Day of the Child. She and her team work with local pastors and they make those celebrations very special for children who have very little.  They do crafts and games and show movies about Jesus.  This year they are also taking dresses and underwear and necklaces and teeny beanies and headbands to share with the girls.  Here are the first bags and Kathy with her beautiful smile!

This week I am packaging more dresses for the girls of Mexico and making more headbands.

Thank you All Saints Lutheran Church for all you are doing for girls in need!!

Suzanne, do you put the dolls, necklaces, etc in the dress pockets or leave them separate? I have someone who wants to coordinate them. Put in a baggie in the pocket? Pin?

Carol I sent you an email... but here is the answer again in case you didn't get it...

I usually only give necklaces to size 5 or 6 and up...
just for safeties sake... sometimes I put the necklaces in the
pockets... but not all dresses have pockets and I have to package the
dresses as they come in to have any space in my house (and not everyone wants dolls or necklaces) so more often I just fill a gallon sized bag with dolls and another with necklaces and make sure that
there are as many doll and necklaces as there are dresses when I have an order for dresses. So in other words I do not do it until I know someone wants dresses and then asks for the extras to do with them. I first fill the order for the dresses using dresses that are already packaged and once I have the sized all organized I package the necklaces and dolls. I am a little tired tonight so I hope this makes sense.

Thanks Suzanne. I didn't get an email. Did you send it to dressagirltucson@gmail.com?

May I ask, how do you get them across the border? My husband and I lead trips to Baja Mexico from Western Canada. We had ALL our 'donations' taken away. How do you get them across the border? It would be helpful to know.
