South Dakota

Dress A Girl Around the World has been making warmer dresses for the girls on the Lakota Reservation in South Dakota.  They have very harsh winters there, so we have been making long sleeved dresses out of flannel.  This is a very poor group of girls here in the United Stated and if you would like more information about helping please email me at suzannewithdressagirl@gmail.com

When I moved back to SD 2 years ago, I learned that other countries in South America send missions money to the Reservations in SD! They are just as poor as any third world nation. I'd had no idea....Thanks for doing this project. My Moms in Prayer group prays for the Reservations, and we'll pray that these dresses meet needs & impact hearts.

Suzanne, Lisa, NC DAG rep, told me about this. A local craft store gives product free if you craft something and let them display it for a while. I just got back with fleece for scarves, hats, gloves, ponchos, blankets. I also had made a pillowcase dress out of fleece and one out of flannel for her to display. I'll pick up some long sleeve t's to put with them and will be sending a box mid-January. I'm also working on crocheting scarves & hats. might look for a mitten pattern, too. Oh, and a flannel peasant dress is in the stack, too. And knowing God, He'll multiply what I have before I send it off.

Thanks for this blog and your inspiration. Tho I am clear across the country from you, God has used you to spark a flame.
