A Heart for Girls' Contest!!

I believe that we should start the New Year off with a contest!!  We all know that February is the month of Love, Hearts and Romance.  And I also know that many of you have a heart for children... for the little girls around the world that may never have a new dress unless you make it...

So lets combine hearts and dresses... for this contest you need to make a dress with at least one heart on it... it could be heart fabric or a heart pocket or maybe heart buttons... be creative.  You have until Heart Day, February 14th to mail your dress to me or give me your dress.  I will keep the dresses and they will go out with an organization delivering dresses to girls in need.  I will post pictures of all the heart dresses and the winner or winners will be chosen at random.  If we have 10 entries there will be 1 winner... if we have 20 entries there will be 2 winners and so on.

Now for prizes...
Each winner will win their choice of 
a box of fabrics to sew dresses (including the pattern)
or a box of trims and bias tape
 or a dress kit with everything you need to make one dress 
(the tube, the elastic, the bias tape, the trim and the pattern)

I cannot wait to see your creations!

    Love it!! So fun! I am actually making a Valentine Dress today for the local craft store to display and then I will get it back to donate to DAG. Can't wait to see all of the great dresses that come in--I love your blue "tumbling heart" one. You truly have a heart for girls.

    I'm thinking on it :-). Just told my daughter a few minutes ago I was figuring out a heart themed one. BTW, I am making scallops on the one for the shop--first time I have done that and I saw that on your blog and that is what gave me the idea.

    Suzanne, this is a great idea! DAG Maryville is sewing again on the 23rd...should each person attach their name /address on the dress they make so you will know for the drawing?
