I took four days off just to do whatever I wanted... and I discovered what I wanted to do was sew. It is so creative and just fun to make dresses. I thought I would share some of the dresses that I finished...
I did sew more than this but these pictures give you an idea of what I have been up to.
Well done you. What a beautiful selection of dresses you've made in such pretty colours. I've made 80 dresses so far and plan to make more as soon as all our family traumas settle down.....we are getting there slowly.

The dresses you make are adorable! What a thrill to be the little girl who will receive them and feel so loved! Where do you get your adorable fabrics?
ReplyDeleteI get most of the fabric from estate sales and also donations... I also buy some it when fabric is 50% off at Hancocks fabrics.
ReplyDeleteDo you sew and where are you located?
Sorry Suzanne, It's Carol, Dress a Girl Tucson. I am blog challenged and couldn't figure out how to post, let alone sign my name. I need to start going to estate sales! How do you make the top edge of the pillowcase pattern so ruffly and adorable? Is it still bias tape armholes, then an extra big casing with extra fabric on top and lace on bottom to make it so special?
ReplyDeleteI fold over the casing wider... an extra two inches (so you do have to adjust the size of the armhole)... and then stitch 1" below the top and another inch below that to make the casing with a ruffle above it.
